~Fore planning and knowledge are essential to making
the right decisions when restoring an entrance door.
We can provide an on site consultation service to
advise on pre purchase decisions such as style,
size, and suitability along with installation and
hardware advice.
Which side will the door be hung on?
What kind of glass will suit and how thick should
the glass be?
Will it be exposed to the weather, what sort of
finish is suitable?
How do you want the lock, key, hardware to look?
What timber should the door jamb be made in if it
is to match the door?

Mantle Pieces, Cast Iron Grates
& Domestic Items
Our restoration service is suited to those of you
who are undergoing major renovations or time poor
customers who have a single item such as fire place
or a panelled door and wish to have it restored.
Much of our work also arises from clients who choose
a piece from the Elements showroom floor and then
have the item finished to match an existing room
decor.
Architectural items that are most suitable for restoration
are generally those from the early colonial period
through to the late Deco period. Some items simply
need a light clean, detail and an old finish revived
to survive another hundred years of daily use, other
pieces require complete restoration as the pictures
show. Project 3. |
